Youth folklore music KORNIČKA

The youth folklore music Kornička consists of young musicians (from 13 - to 18 years old). It plays in traditional way since his foundation in 1999. The main instruments are  violins, doble bass and also traditional instruments cimbalom (dulcimer) and shepherd's pipe (6-holes flute). Except these instruments there are also the musicains who are playing bag-pipe and heligonka (diatonic accordion). 

During 14 years of its activity the youth folklore music with vocal choir won a great number of prizes at the national music competitions and abroad (Latvia: Riga – 2007; the Czech Republic: Straznice CIOFF – 2004; Breclav – 2008, etc). 

The youth folklore music Kornička with vocal choir recorded following 4 CDs: 

“Before us there is a green marjoram” (2003) the songs from Trencin and Myjava region (West Slovakia)
“Славяне - Часть 1"- Международный этнический сборник СЛАВЯНСКОЙ ЭТНИЧЕСКОЙ МУЗЫКИ  (2009) a great compilation album of bands from Eastern Europe and Slavonic areas
"Singing in Vlara valley” (2010) a common project with the moravian band Klobucanek
"Wishing you countless blessings" (2012) the traditional Slovak Christmass carols

Lead violin of the 3rd generation is Branislav Boráň

The youth folklore music Kornicka is lead by Vladimír Boráň and Juraj Plánka.
