Children´s folklore group
     . 
was established in autumn 1999 in
the city Trenčín
(the western part of
Slovakia). The name of the group
was named after the dialectal name of the girl´s-tressespair  in the
nearby village Soblahov. Now is working
moe than 100 children from Trenčín and its surroundings
between the age of 6 and 17 in
the group and consists of:
 dance-vocal group comprising of
11
dance pairs
 youth´s
traditional folk music
((from
12 - to 17 years old).
The instruments
are: violins, cimbalom, viola, flute, clarinet, doble bass, bag-pipe
and drum.

The both
groups practise 2 times
a week in Gallery Vazka in Trenčín
and the casting
for the both sectiones is held always every year in September. The
dancers are divided to 2 sections:
preparatory dance group
(from 6 - to 10 years)
dance group (from 11 - to 16 years)
The
programme of the group draws
inspiration from the folk traditions of the home region of Trenčín as
well region of Myjava (THE
WEST SLOVAKIA).
The
youth´s
folk music
with the soloists and the vocal choir recorded 5 CDs.
During
26 years of its activity
the group achieved a lot of the successes
at Folklore competitiones and festivals in Slovakia
as well as also abroad (Taiwan,
Spain,
Portugal,
France,
Italy,
Switzerland,
Germany,
Luxembourg, Belgium,
Finland,
Estonia,
Latvia,
Lithuania,
Poland,
Hungary,
Serbia, Austria, Romania, Bulgaria and the
Czech Republic).
Kornička is the quadruple Laureate of the Slovak
Competition of the best children´s and youth folklore groups.
The group performs around 30 times a year and until now
it has performed about 830 performances
(about 300 concerts abroad).

Kornicka participated at 22°
Festival Internazionale "I Bambini del Mondo" in sicilian
city Agrigento
 .
The celebrations of the 25th
anniverary of the foundation of the group with the gala programme
took place in October, 12th
2024
in
TRENCIN.
In July, 2024 the group represented slovak folklore with success at
the 36th Rencontres
Internationales Folkloriques Enfantines
in
the french town Saint-Maixent-l´École
(reg.
Nouvelle-Aquitaine,
dep.Deux-Sèvres).
In June, 2023 the group
participated at
the 30th MDFF Kunovské

In May, 2023
dance pair Patrik
Gunis and Simona Tarbajovska
performed at the Slovak
national competition of the best
dancers of Slovakia - "Spur
of Mr. Saffa" after the succesfull participation
at Regional competition.
In July, 2023 represented slovak folklore with success at
the 27th Internationales Jugendvolkstanzfestival
Seeboden/Carinthia
in Austria.
In June, 2023 the group
participated at
the 30th MDFF Kunovské
léto .
in the beginning of August, 2022 the
group represented slovak folklore
at MFSF Jánoíkov dukát
in the moravian Ronov pod Radhotem.
 
In March, 2020 our youth´s
folk music with vocal
choir recorded the 4th CD
 .
In July, 2019 represented slovak folklore with success at
International Festival for Authentik Folklore
in bulgarian DORKOVO. 
In June, 2019 the group
was awarded by "GOLD RANGE" and the Prize
"LAUREATE"
(1st place) at the
Slovak
Competition of the best children´s folklore groups
in
KOSICE.
In May, 2019 dance
pair Tomas Lendvay and
Tatiana Capova were awarded by "GOLD RANGE" and the Prize
"LAUREATE"
(1st place)
at the County
national competition of the best
dancers of Slovakia - "Spur
of Mr. Saffa" in DLHE
KLCOVO.
In
July 2018 the group came back from succesfull 2-weeks abroad tour in Taiwan
participating at Yilan International Children's Folklore & Folkgame Festival
in Yilan county as well as Luodong Arts Fringle festival.
Our
dance pairs Boris Lika and Monika Masárová,
Tomá Lendvay and Lucia Janíková performed at the Slovak
national competition of the best
dancers of Slovakia - "Spur
of Mr. Saffa" after the succesfull participation
at Regional competition.
In April 2018 our singers,
and folk musics
were
awarded by GOLD RANGE
in
the Competition of the children´s singers and
musician in
TRENCIANSKA TURNA.
In middle of January, 2018 the group
started new season by openning Medeko
ball in Povazska Bystrica.

July, 2017 the group
participated at
the 18th
International Folklore Festival
"SERBARILE
TRANSILVANE" in romanian city of CLUJ
- NAPOCA
In
June, 2017 the group
was awarded by "GOLD RANGE" with
the choreography "PRED PROVODY" the great success at the
Slovak
Competition of the best children´s folklore groups
in LIPTOVSKY MIKULAS and LIKAVKA..
In May, 2017 2 dance pairs Tomas Lendvay and
Maria Uhrova as well as
Simon Janosik and
Tatiana Capova were
awarded by SILVER RANGEs
at the County
national competition of the best
dancers of Slovakia - "Spur
of Mr. Saffa" in DLHE KLCOVO.
In April, 2017 our group became succesfull finalist in the
national folklore RTVS show "ZEM SPIEVA" (COUNTRY
SINGING).
 
In August, 2016 the group represented slovak folklore with success at
International Folklore Festival HASSSELT in Belgium
as well as in concerts in Luxembourg and
France.
In
June, 2016 our
folklore music was awarded by "GOLD RANGE"
with
the music number "BAGPIPERS MELODIES"
at the
Slovak
Competition of the best children´s music groups
in Habovka.
In April 2016 our singers, soloist
Sara Sykorova, folk music
were
awarded by GOLD RANGE
in
the Competition of the children´s singers and
musician in TRENCIANSKA TURNA and ZEMIANSKE KOSTOLANY.
Our
dance pair Tatiana
Capová and
imon Jánoík performed at the Slovak
national competition of the best
dancers of Slovakia - "Spur
of Mr. Saffa" after the succesfull participation
at Regional competition.
In August, 2015 Kornicka represented slovak folklore with success at
the International Folklore Festival in portugal TORRES
NOVAS
as well as in the great artistic concerts in 2 french regions Auergne and
Bourgogne.
The celebrations of the 15th
anniverary of the foundation of the group with the programme
named "About
Three Rills" took place in October, 24th -
25th 2014
in
TRENCIN.
In the end of April, 2014 the
group took part at the International
children´s folklore festival in
Bulgaria's capital SOFIA and
also it visitied Vojvodina's Slovaks
in Kovacica (SERBIA).
In the beginning of August, 2013 the
group participated at INCONTRO DI FOLKLORE INTERNAZIONALE di Penna Sant'Andrea
in italian Penna
Sant´Andrea in reg. ABRUZZO (prov. Teramo)
Introdacqua
(prov. L´Aguilla) and
Spoltore (prov.
Pescara).
In
June, 2013 the group
was awarded by "GOLD RANGE" and the Prize
"LAUREATE"
(1st place) with
the choreography "HUSCARERS II"-
the great success at the
Slovak
Competition of the best children´s folklore groups
in Likavka. - triple Laureate !
In April, 2013 our dance pair (Hana
Misikova - Jakub Duraci) performed at the Slovak
national competition of the best
dancers of Slovakia - "Spur
of Mr. Saffa".
The group performed at Regional
Competition of the best children´s folklore groups
and it will meet with the best slovak children´s folklore groups at the National
Competition in LIKAVKA (June/ 1-2, 2013).
 
In December, 2012 children´s
folk music KORNICKA with
the soloists and the vocal
choir of the group recorded Christmas CD
with
the name "WISHING
YOU COUNTLESS BLESSINGS".
In the beginning of August, 2012 the
group represented slovak folklore at 2 basque international children´s
folklore festivals: Enfants et Danses du Monde
in french ESPELETTE
(rég:
Aquitaine, dép. Pyrénees-Atlantique)
and
Festival Folclórico Internacional Juvenil del Bidasoa
in spanish
IRUN. Except these festivals it performed
2 concerts
in
SENNECEY
LE GRAND (rég.
Bourgogne,
dép. Saône-et-Loire) as
well as in the frame of Schweizer
Bundesfeiertag
in ISLIKON
(Kantons
Thurgau).
In June, 2012 vocal
choir was awarded by GOLD RANGE at the Slovak
Competition of the children´s singers and musicians
in
Habovka
with the traditional
songs "Meadow
songs from Kubra".
In April, 2012 our dance pair
Hanka
Misikova and Jakub Duraci performed at the Slovak
national competition
of the best
dancers of Slovakia - "Spur
of Mr. Saffa".
Youth´s
folk music performed with music number "Hrozenske"
at County
Competition of the adult musics (it
will take in October 2012).
Younger
singers was awarded by GOLD RANGE with the
songs "Nesieme Morenu".
In January, 2012 our youth´s
folk music with vocal
choir recorded the new CD
Wishing You Countless Blessings
with traditional slovak Christmass carols.
 
In August, 2011
Kornicka performed concerts in 3 countries participating at Coach
and Horse Festival in
Flumet / FRANCE,
in ÉSDANSA in
Les Preses / SPAIN
as well as in Oulx / ITALY.
In
June, 2011 the group
was awarded by "GOLD RANGE" and the Prize
"LAUREATE"
(1st place) with
the choreography "Wedding
Feast" -
the great success at the
Slovak
Competition of the best children´s folklore groups
in Likavka.
In
April, 2011 our dance pair (Hanka
Galuskova - Ondrej Misik) performed at the Slovak
national competition of the best
dancers of Slovakia - "Spur
of Mr. Saffa" after the succesfull participation
at Regional competition.
In December, 2010 the group realized 6 Christmas concerts with
the vocal choir SKRUPINKA
in Piestany, Roznov pod Radhostem, Trencin and Orechove
in the new traditional programme.
In October, 2010 our group came back from the artistic tour in SERBIA
- performing 4 concerts in Beograde (with
folk group STARI
DUSANOVAC) and Kovacica.
In July, 2010 Kornicka represented slovak folklore with success at
2 International Folklore Festivals - in 2 french regions Alsace
(Thank
Letter) and Picardie -
Festival
International de Folklore de Noyon.
In May,
2010 the group treated and also performed with the serbian children´s
folklore group STARI
DUSANOVAC from Belgrade in the common concert
in Trencin.
In May, 2010 the vocal
choir and the soloist singer Terezia
Kohoutova were
awarded by GOLD RANGE
at the Slovak
Competition of the children´s singers and musicians in Likavka.
The vocal
choir became a Laureat of Competition.
